Marcos Rampoldi

Managing Partner

Mr. Rampoldi leads BSMA’s private capital strategy in Latin America and the Caribbean (“LAC”). He brings over 20 years of experience in private equity and private credit in the target region, and an extensive track record of investing in LAC’s private markets across sectors and geographies.

He was previously a senior member of LAP Latin American Partners, a middle-market private equity firm specialized in Latin America. Mr. Rampoldi led origination, deployment, management and exit of several investments throughout Central American, Mexico, and Colombia. He previously co-managed a private equity portfolio from a $1 billion Latam infrastructure fund at EMP Global, a pioneer private equity firm specialized in emerging markets infrastructure. Prior to his private equity work, Mr. Rampoldi held roles at BNP Paribas’ project finance team in New York City, and the local waste management subsidiary of Befesa/Abengoa in Argentina.

He holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from Universidad Catolica Argentina and an MBA from Georgetown University.
