Senior Advisor

Mr. Piedras is a Senior Advisor with BroadSpan based in the Rio de Janeiro office, having previously worked seven years as an Investor Relations Officer for Brookfield Incorporações S.A. and Embratel Participações S.A, where he participated in several stock and debt issuances, delisting transactions as well as mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, Mr. Piedras has over nine years of experience in investment banking transactions as he worked in corporate finance operations of privatizations and mergers and acquisitions in several sectors. In the research department, Mr. Piedras was responsible for covering the sectors of Energy and Financial Institution. Mr. Piedras has also worked in the business development department of Light Serviços de Eletricidade S.A. and later served as an independent consultant for the company in its first fare tariff review process.

Mr. Piedras holds a B.A. in Economics from Faculdade de Ciências Políticas e Econômicas do Rio de Janeiro and a M.B.A. in Finance from IBMEC. Mr. Piedras has the CNPI certification from APIMEC and is a former member of the National Investor Relation Institute (NIRI) and National Investor Relations Institute and (IBRI).
