Gonzalo Valdes-Fauli

Chairman

Mr. Valdes-Fauli is a shareholder of BroadSpan and has been the Chairman of the firm's Board of Managers since 2003. Mr. Valdes-Fauli has more than 35 years of experience in commercial and investment banking in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Prior to BroadSpan, Mr Valdes-Fauli was the Vice Chairman of Barclays Capital (Latin America), the investment banking arm of Barclays Bank PLC, and a member of its Management Committee. Prior to this position, he was the Barclays Group CEO for Latin America where he was responsible for all investment banking, commercial banking and private banking operations in the region, a position he held for more than 15 years. Under Mr. Valdes-Fauli’s leadership, Barclays became one of the leading providers of financial services in Latin American and the Caribbean operating through wholly owned financial service companies incorporated in the principal markets in Latin America.

Mr. Valdes-Fauli currently serves on the Board of Directors of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida (Florida's largest insurance company) where he was Lead Director from 2006-2010, and Gildan Activewear Inc, (the world's leading low cost manufacturer of basic apparel ) where he is the Chair of the Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility Committees. Mr. Valdes-Fauli is also a Trustee Emeritus of the University of Miami and holds a number of other civic board positions.

Mr. Valdes Fauli received his M.B.A. from The American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) and holds a B.A. from Spring Hill College.

Timothy Davis

Board Member

Mr. Timothy Davis is a shareholder of BroadSpan Capital and has been a member of the firm’s Board of Managers since 2003. Mr. Davis has more than 35 years of experience in commercial and investment banking in the Americas and Europe.

Prior to BroadSpan, Mr. Davis spent thirty-four years with Chase Manhattan Bank and JP Morgan Chase where he held executive positions in North America, Europe and Latin America.

Mr. Davis currently manages a family office and provides financial advice for the heirs of Robert A. McCormack of St. Augustine, Florida and formerly served on the Board of Directors of BAC Florida Bank based in Coral Gables, Florida.

Mr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University.

Michael L. Gerrard

Senior Managing Director

Mr. Gerrard is one of the Founders of BroadSpan and the firm’s CEO. He has been a Managing Director with BroadSpan since 2001. Mr. Gerrard has more than 21 years of experience as an investment banking advisor in Latin America and the Caribbean and has led transaction teams in 15 countries. While with BroadSpan Mr. Gerrard has successfully advised global and regional corporations, financial institutions and government entities in a variety of complex mergers, acquisitions and restructuring assignments throughout the region and across industry sectors.

In addition to his other responsibilities, Mr. Gerrard heads BroadSpan’s Financial Restructuring Advisory practice and is a member of the firm's Board of Managers and Executive Committee.

Prior to BroadSpan, Mr. Gerrard managed the Latin American Capital Markets division of Barclays Capital, the investment banking arm of Barclays Bank PLC, where he was responsible for capital markets origination, structuring and execution in Latin America and the Caribbean. While with Barclays, Mr. Gerrard structured and executed over $3.5 billion of cross border financings for private and public sector issuers throughout the region via 33 competed transactions.

Mr. Gerrard is a member of the Institute of International Finance’s Special Committee on Financial Crisis Prevention and Resolution and is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Miami Science Museum.

Mr. Gerrard received his M.B.A. from The American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) and holds a B.A. in Finance from the University of Miami.

Noah Kessler

Managing Director

Noah Kessler is a Managing Director in the Financial Restructuring and Investment Banking group at BroadSpan Capital, based in Miami. He also serves on the BroadSpan Capital Management Committee.

Prior to joining BroadSpan Capital, Mr. Kessler worked at Merrill Lynch in New York. For over 15 years, Mr. Kessler has advised global and regional corporations, financial institutions and government entities in a variety of complex transactions and restructuring assignments throughout 14 countries and across multiple industries.

Mr. Kessler is a frequent panelist at conferences and active participant with the Institute of International Finance. In addition, he is an active member of multiple non-for-profit boards in South Florida.

Mr. Kessler received his BA magna cum laude from Florida International University with a major in Finance and minor in Economics and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Leonardo Antunes

Senior Managing Director

Mr. Antunes is a Managing Director with BroadSpan and the Head of the firm’s Brazilian operations. He also has coverage responsibility for the Southern Cone region of Latin America. Mr. Antunes joined BroadSpan in 2005 and has more than 18 years of experience as an investment banking advisor in Latin America having executed over 30 advisory transactions with value in excess of US$10 billion and capital raisings with value of over US$5 billion.

Mr. Antunes is a member of the firm's Board of Managers and Executive Committee.

While with BroadSpan, Mr. Antunes has successfully advised global corporations in Brazilian and regional acquisitions and numerous Brazilian companies in domestic and regional mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, capital raising, project finance and restructuring assignments. His experience covers a range of sectors including renewable energy, utilities, oil & gas, information technology and industrials.

Prior to BroadSpan Capital, Mr. Antunes was responsible for M&A, capital markets and project finance at Brazilian investment bank Banco Modal. Before Banco Modal, he was Vice President of Corporate Finance and Structured Finance for Latin America at ABN AMRO.

Mr. Antunes is also Member of the Endeavor Global mentoring team in Brazil, is an Associate Member of IBP (Brazilian Institute of Petroleum and Gas) and IBGC (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance).

Mr. Antunes holds a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), an Executive M.B.A. from IBMEC and an Executive M.B.A. in Energy from Coppead/UFRJ.
