Ricardo Trani

Senior Advisor

Mr. Ricardo Trani is a Senior Advisor with BroadSpan, based in the Rio de Janeiro office. Mr. Trani joined BroadSpan in 2018 and has over 30 years of experience in the financial sector, having worked in the areas of asset management, investment banking, product distribution and private equity.

Mr. Trani has structured and distributed funds in the electrical energy, oil & gas, health and hotel sectors that together amount to more than R$3 billion. He has successfully advised corporations in mergers and acquisitions, specifically in the sectors of electrical energy, health and retail. Mr. Ricardo Trani has expertise in the energy sector, having developed various projects on wind power, biomass and gas thermoelectric power plants.

Mr. Trani was most recently a partner at Cypress Associates. Prior to that, he was director and partner at Banco Modal, being responsible for Distribution and Infrastructure Projects. He was also a partner at Brasil Plural, where he advised numerous transactions, including the sale of Samaritano Hospital to the Amil Group, in 2010, for R$180 million.

Mr. Ricardo Trani holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UniversidadeCândido Mendes and a M.B.A in Corporate Finance from IBMEC. He is also a certified portfolio manager at CVM.
