France’s Vinci Park Enters the Brazilian Market

On July 12th 2013, leading French parking operator Vinci Park acquired a 50% stake in MOVING, one of the main parking companies in the Southern region of Brazil, operating over 30,000 parking spaces.

MOVING was created in 1998 and currently has more than 75 parking lots mainly in the state of Rio Grande do Sul operating with contracts for the provision of services, rentals and concessions. Moving manages parking lots in commercial buildings, shopping malls, hotels, hospitals and universities.

MOVING is headquartered in Porto Alegre and has over 825 employees.

Thus, VINCI Park is now associated with one of the leading operators in southern Brazil and is establishing its operations in the main Latin American parking market.

This new partnership illustrates VINCI Park’s international development strategy, focused on countries with strong growth, and where the parking market is in constant development.

The association between VINCI Park and MOVING allows the new company to continue its expansion in the Southern and Southeastern regions of Brazil and to experience in the development and implementation of concession contracts, a promising market in Brazil. It is with great satisfaction that Moving and VINCI Park announce their association through the acquisition of the 50% stake and shared management.

The founding partner of MOVING, Fernando Stein, will be the president of Moving VINCI Park and will be leading the development of parking operations and concessions in Brazil along with MOVING’s current COO, Eliandro Arena.

VINCI Park is a global company with extensive experience in solutions for urban mobility, managing more than 1.6 million parking spaces in 2,600 parking lots in 14 countries. VINCI Park is a subsidiary of VINCI Group, a world leader in concessions and construction and offers a wide range of parking solutions.

In 2012, VINCI Park conducted a worldwide survey that resulted in the identification of Brazil as a priority in its international development. Given that the dynamics and urban infrastructure in Brazil will change significantly in the coming years, this association adds much value to MOVING, which will help shape the future of urban mobility in various Brazilian cities.

VINCI Park has examined the Brazilian market and found a significant number of major operators of parking lots in Brazil, but it immediately became clear that the mission and values the two companies are virtually identical and that they both share a common passion in delivering solutions and service quality, as well as in the implementation of the latest technology to provide the highest operational standards to its customers.

This year, MOVING is celebrating its 15th anniversary and the association with VINCI Park affirms its commitment to provide high quality services in Brazil and providing growth opportunities to its employees.

The partnership significantly increases the ability for long-term investments in new projects and implementation of new technologies.
